Direct responsibility for 87 production employees (7 of which in Juarez, Mexico), 7 supervisors and 2 production control employees, while maintaining a 62,000 square feet manufacturing facility to support 40M sales. Implemented Lean, JIT, 5S, etc to assist in the reduction of inventory from 7.9M to 5.1M while assuring and maintaining 90% OTD. Realigned work cells to create better pull-through throughout manufacturing and successfully reduced work-force without negative impact on daily performance goals. Perform internal/external QMS audits to maintain Lloyds Registrar, PED and ISO 9001:2000 certification, oversee internal and external corrective / preventative action program, facilitate management review, foster continued improvement processes, lead and train employees on ISO 9001 and assure stability of QMS.

Establish and assure internal and external expectations are met through the quality system. Create quality procedures manual and lead transition from ISO 9002:1994 to ISO 9001:2000. Position organization to achieve TS-16949 certification. Train Upper Management, 1st Line Supervisors and Production Employees on the quality system. Assure system compliance through training, effective procedures and internal audits. Assure total customer satisfaction through 2nd party audits of vendors and suppliers. Establish, lead and monitor internal and external continued improvement programs. Track and report monthly key performance indicators. Format and facilitate management review of quality system. Investigate claims and customer complaints and implement corrective actions.

Management responsibility for Field Service Technicians, which includes supervising, training, and cross training employees to perform to standards consistent with ISO 9001 (15 direct reports). Organizing, Standardizing and Documenting processes to consistently meet internal and external expectation and reduce production cost. Establish incoming and in process inspection procedures to reduce rework cost.

Responsibility for the Quality Department, which included training, coaching and supervising Quality Technicians, Inspectors and Coordinators (3 direct and 40 indirect reports). Maintain ISO 9002 certification. Responsible for organizing and conducting internal / external customer training sessions and demonstrating the plant's quality systems. Establish gage and operator variability studies and process capability studies. Lead Auditor, responsible for performing audits, training members and establishing a quality audit team. Realized 92% on time delivery performance and a downward trend in cost indicators for fourteen straight months to record the lowest cost of the year.
