I am carrying out a PhD in Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) at The University of Birmingham. I've presented at fNIRS UK and fNIRS 2024 and and current research projects include:- Optimisation over combined discrete and dense sub-spaces, for processing and analysis pipelines- Sampling design given a priori topology, for computationally efficient look-up table solutions- Maximum separability classification design- Implementation of n-dimensional concave hulling, alongside other geometric computation solutionsI graduated from an MPhys at Cardiff University in 2022 with first class honours. My masters dissertation was on evaluating chemical components from hyperspectral Raman microscopy through a non-negative matrix algorithm, and my final year project involved trapping and modelling the movement of microparticles in solution with optical tweezers.I am also interested in medical physics and the use of physics within medical therapy, and worked with the University of Birmingham/Birmingham Women's and Children's hospital on optimising VFA sequences for clinical settings, producing recommendations on using the sequence.
