I have worked as an HVAC/R technician since the mid 1980s. I worked for a mechanical contractor where I started my apprenticeship and received my S2 Heating, Piping & Cooling Unlimited Journeymans License. I worked on residential and light commercial HVAC/R equipment. After leaving, I accepted a position at Waterbury Hospital where I have been employed ever since (33years). While employed there I tested for and received, my S1 contractors license. I obviously have extensive experience working in a hospital setting with all its unique requirements. My job duties there require me to work on mostly commercial heating and air conditioning equipment, patient related HVAC equipment, boilers, chillers, cooling towers and electronic building management systems. I repair specialized refrigerators and freezers in the Laboratory as well as Ice machines and Dietary related refrigeration equipment. I have some pneumatic control experience. I have my universal certification for working with refrigerants and try to stay current with the latest industry requirements and trends.
