Started out in warehouses. Was given an opportunity to demonstrate my abilities to manage storage properties. Excelled by increasing revenue by 20%, developed customer incentives, and improved customer service relations. Working in self storage provided crucial customer service experience to carry on what I was passionate to work in, which was transportation and logistics. I began as a bus operator in Los Angeles. After Four years I moved up to train operator. Both crafts further developed my customer service experience as well as vehicle experience. After Eight years at Metro I moved my experience to Utah Transit Authority by operating buses and commuter trains. My time at UTA was short lived due to a better job opportunity at Coaster which was under contract by Transit America and eventually Bombardier in Southern California. Here I was a Passenger Conductor and was in charge of the safe operations of commuter trains ensuring crew members were executing job responsibilities by the rules and provided outstanding customer service. After 3 years I had a need to relocate to Colorado. I saw an opportunity with Union Pacific. I applied and was successfully chosen for a new class. With my experience ranging from various transportation environments including customer service experience has been key to my current success with Union Pacific. Understanding the demands and ever changing technologies for logistics is key for success. I hope to advance my experience to cargo aviation and start my own transportation/logistics company out in Central America in the near future.
