During my contract of articles, it must be emphasised that I did not lecture at all as was required in terms of my duties as a candidate attorney. Since completing my contract of articles on 28 February 2017, I have resumed my lecturing duties. In 2016, two of my colleagues lectured the students in my stead, and I provided them with guidance and advice in my spare time occasionally from time to time to help them with their teaching duties.I continued with lecturing in this position until 30 June 2018. I lectured to first year law students on different areas of South African Law and I facilitated events such as the annual first year moot courts, team participation in international moot court competitions for my faculty, court visits, tutor training and tutor recruitment as well as first year student affairs.

I commenced with my articles of clerkship in the University of Johannesburg Law Clinic (Doornfontein Campus) on 1 March 2016 and I completed my articles on 28 February 2017. I was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in December 2017.

Lecturing and providing student support to law students across a variety of qualifications. I was also expected to attend to student queries and to address them as fully as possible to ensure that our students had a meaningful and pleasant educational experience. I was also in charge of law lecturers lecturing across modules and ensuring that they had the required knowledge and skill that lecture to the best of their ability.

I was the course administrator for the first year students' law course Introduction to Legal Studies. I was also in charge of tutors in my course (and to some degree, tutors in other first year student law courses) and I supervised their well-being and knowledge of how to assist first year law students in their coursework. My administrative duties extended mainly to organising 1) court visits for first year law students to various courts in Johannesburg as part of their yearly assessment, 2) The first year law students internal moot court at the UJ and 3) supervising UJ first year teams at the intervarsity Moot Court held at the University of the Free State, Bloemfontein, in October of each year. I also monitor first year law student discipline and I assist first year law students with any administrative queries or problems they may have with the Introduction to Legal Studies course.

Tutoring students on various legal concepts and fields that they will encounter in future studies and in the legal profession; teaching students about legal research and court procedure related to Moot Court and the Courts in general; supervising students on Court Visits to the Magistrates' Court, High Court and Constitutional Court.

Tutoring students on the essence and structure of essay writing as well as research on various topics found in current affairs and in various forms of English literature.

Looking after the academic and emotional well-being of first year members of the house Kanniedood Mens Dayhouse. As Chairperson, I was also tasked in ensuring that Peer - helpers in my charge discharged their duties and tasks in looking after first year members.
