Warren ran and operated Geodrill Pty. Ltd for 12 years, principally undertaking Geotechnical, Environmental, Waterwell monitoring bores and Quarry Investigation drilling across Melbourne and country Victoria. Clients included GHD, Coffey Partners, Golder Associates. MMBW, Boral, VIc Roads, and many others including farmers, geologists, geotechnical engineers etc. Projects included drilling works for dams, quarries, major buildings, hospitals, chemical factories, bridges, overpasses, houses, petrochemical installations, docks, pools, monitoring bores including grouting etc. Management involves site inspections, tender responses, managing financials, report writing, bore logging and driller training. This work proved a good stepping stone to supervisory roles for others within the Drilling Industry.
