I provided advice to occupational scheme trustees on annuity purchase for members of defined-contribution, defined benefit and hybrid schemes at retirement.I was responsible for technical aspects of annuity process including awareness of legislative changes and FCA guidance.I represented Mercer’s administration business on the project team that designed Mercer’s new DC retirement proposition, the ‘Mercer Harmonise Retirement Income Service’, following pensions freedom, liaising with external annuity, advice and flexi-access drawdown providers to detail the processes and interactions. I also wrote the procedures, internal user guidance and provided training to Mercer's customer contact centre and admin teams on the new service.
