My practice focuses on tax planning for complex real estate transactions including structuring and restructuring partnerships and limited liability companies and structuring complex forward and reverse Section 1031 exchanges. In connection with Section 1031 exchanges, we structure exchanges where partners or members want to go their different ways and where some partners or members want to exchange and others want to get cashed out. My practice also includes structuring and documenting Qualified Opportunity Zone investments. I have a reputation for out of the box but sound advice.I have helped numerous owners disposing of their properties in Downtown LA and adjacent areas on a tax-free basis, transferring those properties to purchasers who have redeveloped them for retail, residential, hotel, and other uses, contributing to the transformation of Downtown Los Angeles.Clients rely on me to translate the complexities of the Internal Revenue Code and its regulations into language that they can understand and act upon.
