Helped develop a model designed to inform landscape management efforts to ameliorate the effects of climate change on avian populations. Generalised linear models related species presence/absence to CORINE Land Cover data derived from European Copernicus satellite imagery, as well as to climate data supplied by the UK Met Office and Met Éirann, together with Digitial Terrain Model (DTM) and slope data. Work included analysis of data from satellite-tagged birds, which were used to adjust the parameterisation of land cover variables. SDM paper published in Ecological Informatics, while another, detailing several augmentations to our method, is in preparation (as at November 2023). Show less
