Most of my career I have been employed at auto dealerships starting out as a Salesman and later a Parts Manager, Sales Manager, F&I Manager , and a General Manager. Eventually I had the opportunity to learn the accounting end of the business and found my niche. I have been employed by small dealerships to larger dealer groups. My "hands-on" approach along with the ability to effectively train staff and delegate responsibilities has allowed me to have a successful career for over 40 years. In 2012 I decided it was time to "move on" and started consulting for dealerships specializing in the accounting department. It has been a very rewarding career move and I enjoy assisting dealers when a situation happens that creates a need for my services.I have worked on multiple software systems including Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, AutoSoft, DealerTrack, Quick Books, and Dominion ACS. I recently added a newer DMS called Takion to my experience. Most of the work I perform for dealerships can be handled remotely which reduces the total expense but occasionally I do travel to the dealership for an on site visit. In the fall of 2019 my wife and I decided that the excessive travel was taking a toll on us and in November 2019 was hired by CliftonLarsonAllen at their Saint Louis office as a Biz-Ops Senior in the Dealership group. Unfortunately with the on set of COVID-19, the demand for my type of services greatly reduced and as of August 26, 2020 I resigned and decided to start back up my consulting business, Auto Accounting Solutions..
