I am an entrepreneurial-minded professional with an extensive background in the engineering trades, small business launches, training and facilitation. Over the course of my career, I have worked on small to large projects and fixed plant shutdowns in the construction, pulp mill, rural water supply, mining, oil and gas industries; established and managed successful businesses specialising in the design, supply and installation of pumps, windmills and rural water supply systems; and built successful enterprises providing scuba diving and Instructor training facilities. Lately I have been developing businesses to outsource services for Australian companies, to import products for distribution and selling online, as well as providing health and safety consultation, inspection, testing and tagging of fire-fighting equipment, portable electrical equipment and height safety equipment.My extensive background in leadership and management roles has enabled me to develop comprehensive expertise in worksite health and safety risk management, and I have completed ongoing professional development to gain the qualifications to support my practical experience. I am experienced in the completion of risk audits and in the delivery of safety, manual handling, oxygen and first aid training. My focus is on using my technical expertise and extensive worksite experience to provide practical services and solutions to help meet business goals and contribute to the development of a culture of safety awareness in workplaces.
