As a consultant, I work out of Johannesburg, South Africa, and have handled reorganisations of various municipalities, as well as start-ups of independent businesses.As part of my current work, I am proficient in the following areas:- Process Evaluation and Optimisation: Identifying all available roles and skills, developing an optimal organisation structure, drafting formal job descriptions (Standard Operating Procedures) and implementing evaluation matrices. Work conducted in the public space.- Business process re-engineering: End to end process evaluation and redesign, including functional structure change and strategic goal setting . Project have been completed for public entities.- Business optimisation and operation: Optimising an organisations operational efficiency and productivity by gathering both primary and secondary data periodically for data analysis and operation optimisation. To sustain a competitive advantage for clients going forward, I provided long-term strategies. Analysis of stakeholder perspectives and incorporation of findings into high-level engagements.- System Development and Analysis: Through the development and use of an in-house constructed toolkit, local and district municipalities were able to recreate their organogram structures, which resulted in less observable personal influence. Additionally, I evaluated and recommended optimal employee capacity requirements as well as the amount of time for each task.The ventures I have pursued have all been rewarding and intensive, but they are not where I find my true passion.It was through my studies that I was able to take all my technical knowledge and apply it to environmental aspects, and see how my expertise affected the ecology in a visible way. I am therefore extremely excited and hopeful to reinvest my consulting knowledge back into the environment and the best place, I believe, is that of the energy sector. I have a variety of courses and modules of information under my belt through my studies in Scotland and learning from their industry leading renewable energy sector. My goal is to see the renewable and energy sectors / industries grow to the same extent within Southern Africa.
