I began my career in facilities while working as a janitorial supervisor at Wy East Junior High. I was very interested in the workings of the physical plant and was able to get training and assist the district maintenance department in repairs. Interested in a true building maintenance role, I moved to Doubletree Hotels as a maintenance mechanic. I became fascinated with Facilities Management, Operations and Project Management. My organizational skill set and commitment to efficiency enabled me to make a positive impact to my department and the hotel(s) and my talent and accomplishments were recognized with 4 promotions within 6 years. I moved from Mechanic to Director and with multiple awards. Circumstances lead me to Elite Care Assisted Living where I successfully managed 4 properties with maintenance, housekeeping, landscaping and cosmetics disciplines.To further my education, I completed a nearly year long training in Landscaping Maintenance with Clark County Public Works. an area that I was lacking in expertise.I am one of the fortunate individuals who has discovered their true calling and face each challenge with enthusiasm and continued success. These challenges include authoring the Standard Operating Procedures for the Green Seal Certification, completing multiple capital projects on time and within budget, building a new department from the ground up, regional trainer and task force leader...these are a few of many. All things facilities is where my true passion lies.
