Throughout my career, I have worked with both AAA companies and indie studios. Lead Ui ArtistHinterland Studio Inc. Aug 2014 - Aug 2017Vancouver, British Columbia, CaAs a member of the Hinterland team, I played a key role in the development of the user interface, layout, and art for the critically acclaimed indie survival game, The Long Dark. My responsibilities included designing all the menus and implementing them in-game from the initial prototyping and concept phases to the final in-game user interface. I designed all the iconography, selected fonts, created food labels and signage for in game assets as well as poster illustrations for promotional materials and merchandise. I also created all the maps and executed other graphic design tasks. Throughout the project, I collaborated closely with the creative director, programmers and systems designers. There were many challenges on this project and frequent changes to gameplay systems required adapting an iterative design process. -

I am proud of my contribution to the presentation design of the Dragon Age franchise and the role my work played in making it a classic for the genre. My responsibilities included the development and execution of concept art, prototypes, and final artwork for all UI assets, such as text, icons, maps, menus, navigational elements, and animated transitions. Additionally, I was involved in the branding efforts for presentations, websites, t-shirts, and other marketing materials, and I provided guidance and art direction to junior team members. -
