Power Line Construction

Reviewed and supervised the execution of complex integrated nuclear power plant test procedures in order to license the 1,150 megawatt Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant.

Founded and operated a 25-person solar design and contracting firm. Installed 37,000 square feet of solar thermal panels in eight states. Four trucks on the road.

Conducted experimental stress analysis tests on various mechanical components, including: oil-fired power plant induced draft fan motor shaft; North Anna (VA) Nuclear Power Station reactor vessel head; Scott Paper Company "Cottonelle" toilet paper dryer; Colt Crucible Steel 6,000-ton forge; SS Maine propeller shaft; 50,000 ft-lb hydraulic motor at Tom's River, NJ, chemical plant; and other projects.

Served in various roles aboard a nuclear-powered fast attack submarine, USS Tullibee (SSN597), based in Groton, CT. Responsibilities included: Reactor Controls Division Officer, Engineering Officer of the Watch, Electronics Material Officer, Electrical Division Officer, Auxiliaries Division Officer, Refueling Officer, Command Duty Officer, Communications (Radio) Officer, Diving Officer, Officer of the Deck, Assistant Engineer. Qualified in Submarines, Qualified as Engineer Officer. Awarded the Navy Achievement Medal.
