As a 2nd year Social Work Intern, I assisted Mental Health Therapy Aides with daily activities and consumer recovery through skill building. I also facilitated weekly support meetings, MICA Groups, and Stress Reduction Groups.

I performed case management of MICA residents, provided counseling, behavioral intervention and crisis management services. In addition, I facilitated weekly MICA Recovery Group meeting, planned and evaluated individual service plans. To assist consumers in recovery oriented behavior, I monitored plan objectives, trained, and assisted residents in activities of daily living (ADL) skills.

As an undergraduate psychology major fulfilling credit hours towards my CASAC, I interned for an Alternatives to Incarceration alcohol and drug education series program for court mandated DWI and DUI clients. Interviewed clients to maintain progress notes and update records.
