As an Associate Dean of Practicum Learning at Columbia University, I oversee the practicum education program and teach courses on social work practice, diversity, and human rights. I have more than 20 years of experience in social work, with a focus on addictions, child welfare, and forensic social work; and over 13 years in the classroom.I am also the President of the National Association of Social Workers - New York State Chapter, and the Co-Chair of the Council on Racial, Ethnic, and Cultural Diversity of the Council on Social Work Education. I am committed to advancing the profession and promoting social justice, equity, and inclusion. I am the founder of two consulting firms that provide psychotherapy and organizational training on ADEI issues.
