I’m a UC Berkeley-educated electrical engineer and a proud nerd. I’ve designed mixed-signal ICs, laid out PCBs, and written firmware that runs the entire system. I’ve been at the front lines of LCD display and electric vehicle revolutions, and I now manage a business that enables automotive electronics which will transform connected cars and autonomous driving from science fiction to reality. I like engineering elegant solutions, but what I love—what really energizes me—is assembling and working with diverse, cross-functional teams to understand market dynamics, identify opportunities, distill customer requirements, and develop new technology solutions to WIN BUSINESS.I’ve worked in a spectrum of organizations from the small, nimble, and frenetic to the large, deliberate, and stable; I cut my teeth as a professional in a 30-employee start-up that eventually became a public company, and I’ve also worked in some of the largest semiconductor companies. I use the insights I’ve gained from those organizations, big and small, and incorporate their best attributes in building teams and executing projects to WIN BUSINESS.I'm battle-toughened working with the largest and most demanding OEMs and tier-1s in automotive, consumer electronics, PC, and communications/networking markets, and I have extensive experience driving tough negotiations & winning business in Asia and Europe. I believe the numerous customer-engagement lessons I’ve learned (some the hard way) are just as valuable as my MBA education in formulating strategies. Through my teamwork I had won the first-ever employee of the year award at a public company, but I’m even prouder that I had been invited to a bona fide Korean house-warming and shared soju with the host—my customer—because of the relationships I forged by delivering results.In summary, I believe every experience is a chance to learn and to better myself, and I'm always energized by new challenges that take me out of my comfort zone--to deliver results and WIN BUSINESS.
