About Warren Tyler

A successful retailer in home interiors, floor covering and antiques for twenty-seven years, I opened my first floor covering store at age twenty-three. In 1985 I sold Davis Carpet Distributors, a six store chain and started Motivation Plus.A chance meeting in the halls of the Atlanta Merchandising Mart with industry legend Al Wahnon led to becoming the best-read columnist in the industry.This along with authoring several best-selling books, producing DVD programs and writing for the mainstream press have led to a career as a leading educator and professional speaker. Having a passion for every aspect of retailing, my goals are reaching as many industry people as possible with my unique approach and proven efficacy in leadership, retailing, sales and customer service training. This means I will travel anywhere, anytime to preach the gospel of success.In addition to my career, my wife, our five children still at home plus my four adult children are my other passion.Specialties: All aspects of retailing including sales, customer service, advertising and leadership techniques. My books are the best-selling books in the history of the industry as well as my DVD programs. Several companies have contracted with me to write various training manuals. By 2006, fully 90% of Motivation Plus income came through personal appearances and sales of educational materials associated with this activity.Companies regularly arrange personal appearances to attract people to their conventions, dinner meetings, recruitment meetings and educational events. My assertion that most people leave 90% of their potential on the table is easily demonstrated in all areas of expertise so my easy to follow advise to pick up at least some of the 90% is accepted. We sold floor covering “The Davis Way” a unique method of merchandising. Becoming a contrarian retailer made our store the marketing leader in 6 different market areas.
