My career as an engineering consultant began in 1987 as a hand drafter for residential and commercial land development projects. Since that time, I have had the opportunity to work across a variety of disciplines including: airports, building repair and restoration, environmental and transportation planning, geographic information systems (GIS) and linear utilities. Since 1998, my primary focus has been the management, design and construction of small and large diameter linear pressure pipelines associated with water and sanitary applications. My primary responsibilities routinely include the preparation of conventional design-bid-build documents relative to: preliminary engineering efforts and route selection; Technical Memoranda and Reports, preliminary and final design efforts; permanent utility and temporary construction easement identification or other forms of Agreement; specifications; opinions of probable construction cost; environmental and regulatory permitting; public outreach and education; bid and construction contract or annual services contractor award; and, construction administration and management services.Serving as the regulatory permitting Agent acting on behalf of various Clients, I support for both design-bid-build and design-build projects across the Commonwealth by: performing field work and site reconnaissance; preparing permit submittal packages; coordinating with environmental regulators; securing the required permits and authorizations necessary to commence construction; and, routinely working with representatives from various Federal, State and local regulatory agencies and their trusted academic advisors.
