Seconded into Chevron Australia as part of a JV team to assess the feasibility of, and develop a reference concept for, a subsea compression-based development concept for the Jansz-Io field, part of the Greater Gorgon LNG project.Responsible for identification and evaluation of the means by which subsea compression technology could complement the Gorgon foundation project by providing a compelling alternative to the reference development concept, a semi-submersible compression platform.Work undertaken led to the Joint Venture pursuing subsea compression as the preferred concept, eliminating the need for a manned offshore platform and meaning the project will become only the third ever application of subsea compression and the first in Australia.

The Concerto gas field is located approximately 15 km north of the Shell operated Prelude development, the first field to utilise Shell's Floating LNG (FLNG) technology. With RFSU expected early next decade, Concerto will likely be the first brownfield subsea tie-back of a gas field to an FLNG facility.Responsible for leading all surface engineering activities for the Concerto development through concept selection key involvements being:- Identification and evaluation of development concepts;- Development of an integrated production system model for production forecasting and economic evaluation of a variety development scenarios against various subsurface realisations;- Development of an opportunity case map and portfolio economic modelling basis, allowing full economic evaluation of Concerto as part of the greater Prelude development;- Oversee Pipelines, Flow Assurance and Subsea (PFAS) work undertaken by Shell's Projects and Technology group in Kuala Lumpur to optimise subsea system architecture;- Evaluation of the extent of brownfield engineering scope on the Prelude FLNG facility;Also responsible for providing development engineering support to Shell's broader East Browse Basin portfolio of assets. Responsibilities include providing input to quarterly updates for the Royal Dutch Shell Board on the value of the portfolio, supporting the Shell's Crux development as well as a variety of exploration and M&A activities.

Contributions included evaluation of short-term back-fill opportunities, the Greater Western Flank Project, the Lady Nora oil development as well as a number of exploration opportunities.Exploration and Commercial activities: • Working with internal M&A teams, provided extensive evaluation and input into the acquisition of prospective unconventional gas acreage in a number of basins in onshore Australia;• SDA's successful bid in partnership with Woodside Energy for three blocks in the Rowley sub basin (WA- 462-P, WA-464-P and WA-466-P) in 2011;• SDA's successful bid for WA-477-P (Scott Plateau, Browse Basin) in 2012;Technical advisory work in other corporate transaction activities, including exercising of pre-emption rights in NT/P 48 (Evans Shoal) and evaluation of a number of farm-in opportunities, including discussions with counter-parties around development concepts.Acted as regional focal point for quarterly portfolio reporting activities.
