Laptop Rollout primary objectives:• Deliver a primary computing environment to each Queensland Treasury employee, that allows them the capability to be work anywhere, anytime on premises and develops the capability to work externally to the premises • Profile Queensland Treasury staff to determine if they are VIP, high-end, mid-range or low-end users • Conduct an audit of current desktop PC configurations • Develop and implement a configuration management process to align users with devices and software as part of the rollout and adopt this into operational activities for PAID (Asset management database) and software asset management.• Develop a process to properly capture, cleanse, confirm and deploy software to ease the transition between devices • Conduct laptop information sessions to prepare and inform users of the change.
