Tasked with developing the magazine www.ace-emagazine.org from a small internal communication using only a few company resources to a publication incorporating content from all the company’s departments including teachers, students and external contributors, such as government officials and ambassadors. As a result, it is now also delivered to government, business and associations. These content improvements are also reflected in the website.

Thailand / Burma

Built websites from initiation through project completion. Managed internet projects for business clients and consult on site SEO and content improvement for successful sites such as www.pageonerankings.com.au; www.danielpedersen.org and www.ecct.com.tw . Improvements increased traffic, enhanced business operation and facilitated information distribution.

Bangkok Metropolitan Area, Thailand

Began on the copy desk editing domestic, international, business, features, sports and general news. I also wrote headlines and used Quark Xpress to design pages. Later, I moved up to the business desk as a copy editor. I also liaised with business reporters to develop newsworthy topics and improve the quality of articles, while still providing support for local and international news to improve the quality of one Thailand’s most highly regarded broadsheets.

Developed online “Frequently Asked Questions” (FAQ) modules, customer interfacing, and knowledge databases for this US start-up company. Consult with clients on best interface design to access database. Sites developed using Dreamweaver, MySQL and PHP. All projects were successfully completed on time and under budget. Project budgets were typically more than $US 15,000,000. Clients of this company included industry leaders such as Nokia USA, Fujitsu and Nortel.
