As a Local Government ICT specialist with over 36 years experience (over 11 years as a Head of ICT and 13 years as a Consultant) I have always been at the sharp end of successfully implementing change into Local Government.Over the last few years, I've had multiple interim roles has Head of ICT with Harborough DC, East Northants DC and Hinckley & Bosworth BC, as well as Consultant / Project Manager roles with the Leicestershire ICT Partnership (Hinckley & Bosworth BC, Blaby DC, Melton BC and Oadby & Wigston BC). As a result I have extensive knowledge of multiple IT systems used in Local Government from the likes of Capita, Civica, IDOX, Midland HR, Northgate (NEC), Orchard (MRI) and overseen successful implementations and upgrades for all of them. From a Programme Management perspective, I have led multiple infrastructure upgrade programmes, cover infrastructure such as VMWare, Citrix, Windows Server, SQL Server, Windows Desktop & SAN upgrades across multiples sites.As a ICT Consultant working with SOCITM I have written 2 annual reports for their IMPROVE benchmarking service and taken part in both service and strategy reviews.In 2013 and 2014 I enjoyed successive contracts with Derby City Council, that included EDRMS implementation, HR system implementation, Transformation and Procurements.Earlier in 2012 I enjoyed working with Trent & Dove Housing on a part time basis helping them with a number of ICT Infrastructure projects (VOIP, Virtualisation, WAN and LAN). Previously I spent 3 months at Derby City investigating the full business case for an Oracle ERP shared service solution focusing on HR/Pay, Finance and ICT.In September 2011 I successfully procured 3 major transformational systems (£1m+ total), as part of an award winning Transformation team.
