Joseph Wascow is the Chief Revenue Officer and Co-Founder of Optimal Design, a technology firm specializing in the Internet of Things, wearables, and virtual reality development. After graduating from Purdue University with an Engineering degree, he began his career with Bosch where he drove innovation on a number of technology initiatives resulting in over 2 dozen patents and multiple awards. After co-founding Optimal Design, his vision and leadership helped transform the organization into a leading IoT focused digital consultancy, providing strategy and technology development to some of the most recognized companies in the world. Joe built and manages Optimal Design’s business development and marketing teams. He is responsible for generating new business, forging strong relationships with business partners, managing key customer relations, and driving revenue. His role also includes generating annual sales strategy and objectives, setting targets and budgets, as well as mentoring business development managers, and overseeing the firm’s messaging, collateral, and digital presence. Through leveraging its multi-discipline design and engineering teams over the past few years, Optimal Design has emerged as a leader in commercializing disruptive technology products and in enabling organizations to grow and compete in the digital world. This expertise has propelled the organization forward and hailed industry recognition and awards such as being named one of the Top 10 Fastest Growing IoT Companies and receiving the esteemed Red Dot award. Optimal Design's strong growth has been reflected in being named to the Inc 5000 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies in America list two years in a row. In addition to founding Optimal Design, Joe also successfully launched a prototyping firm as well as a ventures company focused on bringing innovative products to market.
