Teach children English and history as well as allowing corporations in the hospitality and tech industry to upskill their employees through my E-learning content. This along with my advertising work which sees me produce TV commercials and digital campaigns for international brands in the Beauty and FMCG industry.     My time at Ninety9Cents was one of the most diverse I have had to date in post production. My work here includes working on T.V commercials and digital campaigns for some of the continents largest retail groups and brands, these included the Shoprite group, Spur Group, Ackermans and international brands such as Puma. My role involved a multitude of disciplines in the post-production process. Working daily in programs such as After Effects, Premiere Pro & Davinci Resolve. My skill set has also come to include experience in tracking and rotoscoping, which I have discovered a passion for as well as 3D work in Cinema 4D. Working in retail advertising, however, means quick turn around times and strict deadlines when dealing with material delivery. Delivering content to stations not only locally but across the continent as well as a variety of different social platforms has allowed me to gain a deeper insight and understanding of codecs and technical specifications of video. Constantly having to develop fresh and interesting content has allowed me to expand my creative abilities when it comes to the briefs I am given. This role has not only seen me diversify my skill set, but strengthen skills, I had already developed and further my journey to becoming a post production expert.

    My experience in E-Learning and discovered passion for the industry led me to Proversity. Here I worked as an online editor in a remote environment with a team based in three different continents. This was a new experience for me working remotely and communicating with team members using a multitude of different tools such as slack and trello. This also gave me experience using the Frame.IO platform for content delivery and client feedback. In this role I expanded my knowledge of the adobe suite specifically in motion graphics templates and proxy workflows. This role involved using my creative abilities as an editor and expanding my technical knowledge and abilities with all the programs that I had previously been accustomed to using, giving me a very broad range of experience and allowing me to further my expertise in post production.

This job combined my love for creative work and editing with my process driven personal nature. This allowed me to excel very quickly and establish myself as a key contributor to the edit team and company as a whole. Liaising with writers designers and technical staff meant I was always working in a team to achieve our goals something which I thoroughly enjoyed.During my time at Fuel I improved on not only my creative and technical abilities but team working and management abilities by overseeing other team members work and ensuring they met the standard required at an efficient pace. Delivering timing estimates, workflow pipeline best practices and the use of the full adobe suite ensured that my time at Fuel left me with many skills that would be of use to my future success in the industry and as a post production professional.

    My first job since returning to South Africa, saw me start in the Publication industry. Here I worked on the companies weekly News show catering to the insurance industry as well as creating corporate work for their clientele the likes of which included Santam, Zurich Insurance, Sanlam and the Insurance Institute of Gauteng. The weekly show involved me going through the script. Then filming, editing and animating for delivery the Friday of that week. The corporate work saw me creating product documentaries and explainer videos and tutorials on the various insurance offerings the clients had as well as promotional videos.Here I saw to all the aspects of the edit including design, graphics, animation and grading.My time at COSA allowed me to get a foot into the South African market and provided the experience in quick turnaround projects and a client based focused to editing.

    My time at DCTV included work as an editor on the daily news show CityWide. Crafting 3 minute segments of interesting stories based on people and events in the Dublin area. Working in a high paced TV environment along with other editors and camera men to constantly bring fresh content out every week.I followed Citywide with, The Sunday Sports Show, that aired live on Sundays at 9pm. Here my experience as an editor was crucial as I managed ingest and content on the vision mixing board, as the live director. Going through script reads and planning the show as well as overseeing the editors handover, allowed me to take a more managerial role and more responsibility for myself and those around me.My time at DCTV concluded with my work on The Tapestry a documentary series based on the Dublin lockouts. Creating long form content in a pipeline along with other editors ,animators and colorists. This series really allowed me to hone my story telling capabilities as well as critical thinking and my decision making ability.
