Development for physical access control systems.

Participated in planning, technical leadership and implementation of a migration project to move a decade-old million-line Python codebase from Python 2 to Python 3. Implemented CI tooling to support participating teams' compatibility work. Reorganized and modernized significant parts of the code into internal libraries, improving test isolation and CI performance. Modernized concurrency for Python web apps by replacing usage of gevent, a userspace thread library, with Python's standard futures-based threading interface, making code more analyzable and opening the possibility of using modern async IO.

Developed both frontend and backend features for for http://addons.mozilla.org/ and Mozilla Marketplace, an app marketplace for Mozilla's mobile phone OS, Firefox OS. Participated in telemetry analysis for Firefox, such as rates, root cause, and distribution of WebRTC call failures.Developed features and bugfixes for Hindsight, a streaming data analysis platform.Adapted Redash, an open source data visualization platform, for internal use. Added custom features and maintained them across several upstream releases. Modernized and refactored both frontend and backend code and successfully submitted changes to Redash maintainers.Rewrote ETL and data summarization code for Firefox telemetry based on Spark and AWS Presto as Google BigQuery SQL.

Developed CalDAV-based shared calendaring for millions of Apple cloud services users using Python and Twisted. Implemented features, analyzed performance, and improved automated testing.
