Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) is the Leading International Professional Body for everyone who works in Supply Chain, Logistics and Transport.It is the only professional body represented by professionals from across all the various modes and sectors in logistics and transport from Roads to Railway, Ports and Maritime, Aviation, Freight Forwarding and Operations Management.It is a global membership organization and we currently have over 35000 members worldwide in over 100 countries represented by local branches and territories in 35 countries including Bangladesh.It has been founded after first world war in the year 1919 by a group of senior transport professionals determined to change the world of Logistics and Transport. In the First World War they had seen the failures of moving goods and vehicles. Now in peacetime they wanted to create a professional body that would make a difference and set new standards. The group's aim is to improve Transport efficiency, enable Transport integration, and encourage talent development in the Transport industry. Aims that we still strive to achieve today. In 1926 we were granted a Royal Charter by King George V with himself as the Patron and the Prince of Wales as the Honorary President. The Institute grew in importance and influence across the world. We established territorial organisations in ten countries and in 1971 were granted the name of the Chartered Institute of Transport by Queen Elizabeth II. The Objective as stated in the Royal Charter our objective is “To promote, encourage and co-ordinate the study of the science and art of Logistics and Transport in all its branches”It is done through talent development and professional education throughout the world. As a family of professionals we come together in our annual International Convention in a different Global location each year.

Plans, directs, and oversees a company's operational policies, rules, initiatives, and goals. Helps organisation execute long-term and short-term plans and directives by implementing judgement, vision, management, and leadership. Also help in the process of achieving long-term, short-term targets of the company.Specific Job Duties:• Measures effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes both internally and externally.• Oversee day-to-day operation of the company • Develop and implement growth strategies• Develop cost and stock reduction processes and schemes • Motivates staff to meet or surpass organisational and sales goals• Coordinates with human resources department to recruit and retain skilled labor • Oversee daily operations and makes adjustments as necessary • Present new ideas and cash flow strategies to MD• Evaluates newly implemented sales plans• Provides a system for employee salaries and benefits, and makes sure employees feel valued• Supervise staff from various department and provide constructive feedback. • Sales pitching with the sales team, go for sales call as well • Attend meetings with every department and provide day end report to MD for his convenience• Stay updated with the status of every project with written report • Provide daily/weekly report to MD for better informative suggestions • Help in the servicing/maintenance and collection team to make the process smoother • Generate the pricing of the elevators and talk to the suppliers in order to receive materials in time.

Also improving the overall efficiency of the Operations within the organization taking a lean and agile approach
