About Wasir Muhammad Rumi
A highly ambitious and motivated individual with over 3 years of experience in engineering development. I am currently working as a Software Engineer at a Power Systems IC Design company, where I am responsible for developing and maintaining software products for clients in various industries.Alongside solving Smith Charts and debugging Virtuoso, I have delved into various programming languages in my internships, including C++, Python, and TensorFlow, and have experience working with a wide range of software development tools and frameworks. Working for Aramex, I mastered database design and management, as well as dabbling into the corporate and financial rules and customs.In addition to this, I am currently mentoring Masters in Science (MSc) students in my current work, HTT, before off-boarding to my final year of Bachelor’s and taking a more laid-back role in FPGA development and meta materials excitation in City University of Hong Kong’s State Key Laboratory of Terahertz and Millimeter Waves. Although I am moving to a more solitary research background, I plan to return to collaborate with others to solve complex problems and improve my skills and knowledge in the corporate world, hopefully within one year.As such, it might look like I might go on towards the world of academia, I am still open to work on the technical field should anyone need to reach out to me. Sometimes, it is just more fun to solder last minute resistors on a development board than write an acknowledgment on the bi-monthly thesis report.
