Important accomplishments for this new platform include a guaranteed-delivery, multicast stream, auto-discovery, realtime status reporting, and full replayability. Technologies include Java, Google Guice, Sybase, Python, Gradle, and Chef.Prior to Spread Trader, Eric worked on REDI’s Position Server, which offers clients a live view of their positions within REDI and elsewhere. Being a highly event-driven system, the Position Server is written in C++11 utilizing the standard core language as well as various features out of the Boost libraries. Eric led REDI in an effort to move off of a non-recursive Make build strategy to using a custom built Gradle plugin for native binaries.
