Wassili Zafiris has been entrepreneur for 25 years, is half Greek and (step) father of three girls. He is an expert in building bridges between cultures.He is the former Mental coach of the Dutch Women’s Volleyball team. Author of Happiness is depressing; co-author of the twice nominated book ‘Meaningful Profit’ and of the best-selling book ‘Appetite’. He is Climate Leader in Al Gore’s project reality.In 2013 Wassili was asked to be one of 12 top life coaches in the world to contribute to a work of art at the Biennial of Athens. In this artwork 12 coaches interact with the audience via a videotaped coaching session. The Athens Biennial won the prestigious Princes Margriet award for culture in 2015, the highest European award for cultural innovations.In ‘14 he created an animation video about intrinsic motivation to act on climate change ‘The First Worldwide Crisis You can DO something about’. In 2016 Wassili published his ground-breaking book: ‘Happiness is depressing’ about the downside of our success culture and the unconscious problems that arise from striving for happiness. His book offers insights on what happiness is, how depression comes about and how to deal with our happiness and depression questions in a holistic and sustainable way. He is the founder of the first training in the world for coaches on how to deal effectively with our happiness questions and depression symptoms.He is a former board member of the ICF (International Coach Federation) chapter in the Netherlands and also partook in the EMEA leadership group of ICF as well as other Global ICF initiatives. He is Fellow and board member of the Academic Advisory Council of the International Institute of Organizational Psychological Medicine, chaired by former president of the American Psychiatric Association John McIntyre. Wassili is Public Speaker, author, NLP master trainer, neuro-semantic trainer and accredited coach. In 2017 he received a Fellowship award (Honoris Causa).
