Todd Sutton has over 23 years of experience in the environmental field with emphasis on sustainability, education and outreach. Mr. Sutton specializes in waste prevention, commercial recycling, construction and demolition debris recycling, environmental auditing, and household hazardous waste. He has expertise in commercial sustainability and recycling program development, outreach and marketing campaign design and implementation, home composting education, public speaking, and market development for reusable and recyclable materials. He has developed and managed extensive information programs and services focused on sustainability, waste prevention, reuse, recycling and composting. This includes developing one of the nation’s most comprehensive online recycling and reuse information databases. He has worked on numerous waste prevention studies. He has produced standard-setting recycling guides and has experience in the development, management and implementation of award winning regional media outreach campaigns for television, radio, and print.Todd is known as the Waste Sleuth, owner of Waste Sleuth & Associates. Todd is a passionate and charismatic public speaker who has enlightened and educated thousands on waste prevention, recycling and reuse and he always emphasizes the fact that there is “no away” and that our individual choices and actions do make a difference to our environment and for our planet. He has recently been a television on-air field correspondent for Discovery Channels Planet Green TV environmental show G Word. And his latest national television engagement is with the History Channel for a show titled "Life After People" which is in it's second season where he will appear on two episodes as a materials expert.He is accredited by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) as a LEED Green Associate; he is a Master Gardener and Master Composter; he earned a Solid Waste Management Certificate for U.C. Berkeley.
