Select Institute of Technology was created as a licensed, Florida post-secondary school to train the next generation of Salesforce Administrators and Salesforce Developers. Unfortunately, the institution did not have the success we had hoped and we closed it in September of 2023.

Led sales productivity firm and increased revenue by 250% annually during my tenure. Firm provided Salesforce.com consulting, Force.com development and sales training. Drove relationship with Salesforce.com and closed partnership agreement making Sales Optimizer the fourth Authorized Training Partner in North America.

Created and led Salesforce consulting practice. Responsible for all corporate marketing, product marketing, sales, new business development, and product management for all Riptide software and hardware products, solutions and services.

Performed strategic planning, budgeting, and financial performance analysis of business unit with $38 million in annual revenue. Managed reorganizations, Sarbanes Oxley, and GLB projects. Managed revenue and contribution growth. Controlled costs and staffed to appropriate levels. Developed and executed against a budget that increased contribution margin by 1% while increasing headcount by 15%. Developed five year strategic plans and budgets on an annual basis. Performed sales, revenue and P&L forecasting on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis. Developed and implemented compensation plans to drive business results.

Led all departmental activities related to design, development, deployment, maintenance and support of all enterprise-wide applications in division of 1,500+ end users. Led team of 10 geographically dispersed people who designed, developed, deployed and supported all internal and external websites and business applications. Gathered, documented and analyzed business requirements for all internal and external enterprise web sites and software applications. Acted as liaison between IT and all other departments. Worked with all levels of personnel in business units to coordinate roles, responsibilities and project time lines.

Led team in design, development, release and maintenance of commercial business intelligence software for financial institutions. Acted as manager and solutions architect. Led team of 12 developers & 2 team leads in three locations on recurring, fixed product release cycles. Successfully converted a DOS based application written in C to a Windows, COM based, multi-tier environment using Visual Basic 6, Visual C++, and Crystal Reports. Developed reporting system using Crystal Reports, Visual Basic & XML that allowed users to create custom reports and modify standard reports within the application without writing code. Redeveloped entire product in 18 months ahead of schedule under budget and with 4 developers fewer than planned. Successfully deployed a browser based business intelligence tool using ASP and SQL Server to deliver customer information directly to the employees engaging the customer.

Led team in design, development, deployment and support of an online retail shopping site with over 10,000 daily visitors. Managed team of seven developers, IT professionals and graphic designers. Ensured personnel and processes were in place to keep systems available 24 x 7. Acted as manager, DBA for SQL Server 7.0, solutions architect and lead developer on all projects. Oversaw all website activities including graphic design, application development, database maintenance, tech support, network administration, & QA.

Performed application design and data design and directed activities of team involved in the development, implementation, and maintenance of five artificial intelligence systems. Ensured team properly designed, developed and maintained corporate website. Led group of 4 team leaders and 12 developers / designers. Acted as manager and solutions architect on all projects. Served as solutions consultant for outside sales. Involved in driving over $5 million in bookings. Gathered user requirements and ensured systems met needs of clients. Led two projects to convert legacy systems from DOS to web enabled multi-tier application systems utilizing Windows NT 4.0, VB 6.0, JavaScript, ASP, IIS, MTS, DCOM, IE 5.0, Netscape Navigator and Oracle 8i.

Participated in application design, data design, development, implementation, and maintenance of online business intelligence application driven from our data warehouse. Developed and launched company-wide intranet and public facing corporate website. Developed proprietary reporting system to generate reports in HTML. Developed proprietary and secure file transfer infrastructure. Developed numerous browser based, internal workflow applications.

Worked with team in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of over 70 online retail shopping sites. Led team of graphic designers and programmers. Ensured all web and database servers functioned properly and were available during agreed upon hours.
