Managed end-to-end Outdoor product line including hardware devices and supporting software, content, cartography/mapping, developer tools and desktop applications. Interfaced with international functional groups including Product Marketing, Project Management, Software Development, Hardware Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, User Interface and Industrial Design, Testing, Customer Advocacy and Technical Support groups. Developed marketing strategies for Europe, Australia/New Zealand, South America and Asia in collaboration with Product Marketing. Represented Magellan as spokesperson for TV and radio interviews, attended local, national and international trade shows.

Responsible for complete product line definition and short- and long-term product roadmaps. Managed complete product ecosystem including various GPS units, desktop applications, web browser plug ins and software development kit (SDK) for Outdoor and GIS. Built long-term alliances and negotiated contracts and license agreements with manufacturers, vendors and partners. Drove redesign of user interface and industrial design, taking cues from the success of key technology adoption in mobile and consumer electronic devices. Launched the most successful Outdoor GPS product line at Magellan since early the 2000’s.

Created marketing plans relating to product introduction, advertising, trade show participation and key activities during the product life cycle.

Developed and expanded customer and partner base in the Americas for an international geospatial-technology professional GPS hardware manufacturer. Managed all aspects of relationships with existing and potential customers, developed strategic action plans and conducted presentations and briefings for executive-level audiences. Assisted in development of marketing materials and collateral to capture and retain key customers, including organizational representation at conferences and trade shows. Managed sales, ongoing projects and orders, including technical training and troubleshooting.

Implemented inventory management system and streamlined shipping and receiving procedures for a small mobile audio products manufacturer and reseller. Assisted in product development, procurement, purchasing and supply chain management.
