This meant a lot of liaising with local IT staff as 2nd/3rd line support. - Completing successfully the AD migration of GKN Freight Services into the GKN AD infrastructure. Single forest domain to a multi-forested enterprise. - Supporting (locally and remotely) all sites through the use of Verizon MPLS cloud connectivity. - Devising an effective patching/ WSUS/WDS rollout policy for new machines/existing infrastructure with minimal intervention required and central administration. - Successfully upgraded all hardware from XP to Windows 7 during my tenure at Freight Services - Successful rollouts of new servers (Vmware) and phone systems (Cisco) to new sites - Coordinating downtime/patches/upgrades with datacenters hosted at IBM & GKN. Keeping uptime to 99% over the course of four years. - Introduced the use of SharePoint Foundation amongst Freight Services. Migrated bespoke environment to GKN plc. Global Services
