As a student at Defiance College, a sales associate at Jo-Ann's Fabrics, and a member of the defending Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference indoor and outdoor women's track and field team, I strive to excel each day at school, work, and in my athletic endeavors.I am currently a junior at Defiance College majoring in Sports Management with a minor in Marketing. At Defiance College, I am involved in the Service Leaders program. I volunteer at my church every week with teaching and helping little kids from grades kindergarten through fourth grade. I also volunteer around the college campus helping out with different organizations like Backpack Buddies and Tunnel of Oppression. I also participate on the women's track and field team at Defiance College as a sprinter on relays and a jumper for long and triple jumps. The women's track and field team won the 2013-2014 indoor and outdoor conference championship.With my work experience, I started in the fast food industry working at Subway where I worked for over one year. Currently I am working in retail at Jo-Ann Fabrics where I have been working for two months.When I finish my Bachelor's degree at Defiance College, I plan on getting my Master's degree and serving as an assistant coach for the track and field team. My goal is to be able to work for a sports team in their Marketing department or at a YMCA. Besides a full-time job in Sports Management, I would like to coach volleyball, basketball, or track and field. I want to set a good example, make the game fun, and teach younger ones life lessons and be someone the students look up to like my coaches did for me.
