I am an Engineering professional, with a Masters in Engineering Practice, Bachelor of Engineering Technology, two Advanced Diploma's (in Engineering and Civil Engineering) and a Diploma (in Civil Engineering). I have management experience and a strong working history within Local Government and private enterprise. My Engineering experience began in construction testing, site investigation and construction site supervision with a private enterprise Traineeship in Geotechnical Engineering. I have worked within some of the Gold Coast's largest and best design offices both for SMEC Gold Coast and Gold Coast City Council, designing for both local government and state government design standards. While working for GCCC and SMEC I had the opportunity to work on some of the largest and most significant projects in Southeast Queensland at the time.I am skilled in stormwater software customisation, writing 12d model plot parameter files (PPF's), Excel calculation spreadsheets for culvert design and stormwater pit placement analysis. I'm an innovative stormwater designer using hydraulic and rational methods of design with an ability to change software and or calculate stormwater manually with Excel equation based design. In Feb 2012 I led Gold Coast City Council's drainage asset team, managing all existing drainage assets, flood mitigation devices, dams, minor drainage works. During this time I performed project management and construction management for minor works, compiled drainage related supply and service contracts, and managing operational budgets for a period of 18 months.I have a strong understanding of engineering practice and construction techniques and a proven ability to problem solve Civil Engineering issues.
