Greetings fellow humans, my name is Waylon Hicken, I hail from a land where there's practically only one season, which is summer (let's be honest even when it's winter the sun still shines in this place) and that place is South Africa. I was born and raised in the great city of Durban. Born in the year 1990, I grew up always having a keen interest and passion for animation and anything related to it. So basically I am an animator, concept artist, comic book illustrator and I also have experience as a storyboard artist. I have managed to make my mark somewhat in the industry being involved in multiple 2D and 3D animation projects with my role switching between animation be it 2D or 3D and Storyboarding. One of the projects I worked on called Nelson Mandela's Favourite African Folktales went on to win awards in multiple countries and I myself won an award for Best Animation in 2022 at the International Film Awards. My dream is to someday change the world through the power of animation simply because I am a very ambitious and driven person and help put my country on the map. I am self motivated and a really hard worker and will push myself beyond my limits to achieve perfection in whatever project I do.
