Complete Oversight and Responsibility for all Liquid Oxygen and Liquid Nitrogen maintenance within NAS JRB New Orleans. Analyzing and interpreting multiple gas concentrations for safe and effective use and distribution. Generating gaseous nitrogen for all tenant commands within NAS JRB NOLA. Responsible for the safe upkeep of Cryogenic facilities and complying with OSHA safety regulations and all cryogenic facility regulations set forth in Department of Defense regulations.

Primary job position. Apply operating principles of aircraft oxygen systems; services aircraft with liquid and gaseous oxygen. Purge aircraft systems; inspects aircraft safety belts, shoulder harnesses, and inertia reels; adjust actuating controls and mechanisms; replaces defective controls and indicators; inspects, troubleshoots, removes and installs aircraft oxygen systems, cockpit canopies, canopy seals, ejection system ordnance, safety belts, inertia reels; adjust actuating controls and mechanisms; replaces defective indicators and controls; inspects, troubleshoots, removes and installs temperature and pressure control units and components of cooling system equipment; inspects, troubleshoots, and replaces component of fixed fire extinguisher, bleed air, defrosting, anti-ice, and rain removal system; uses schematic diagrams, drawing, and charts; uses and maintains hand tools; uses technical publications.

Familiar with detainee camps in compliance with standard operating procedures; unarmed self defense; Detainee Information Management Systems (DIMS); Islamic cultural awareness; Forced Cell Extractions (FCE); Escort operations; and restraints applications.
