I have spent 20+ years gaining knowledge of the Non Destructive Test (NDT) Equipment and Consumables Industry as an Inspector, and it's good to be able to share this with customers who are focused on both risk and quality assurance.I started my apprenticeship at Ruston Gas Turbines (as it was known at the time) and achieved City and Guilds time served apprentice in Common Core Skills, TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), MMA (Manual Metal Arc), Advanced MMA, Specialised MMA and MIG (Metal Inert Gas). Part of the duties whilst at Rustons was to carry out Dye Penetrant Inspection on both in-service and new build Gas Turbine components certified to Level II MIL STD 410E & SNT-TC-1A Level II.In 2000, luck gave me the opportunity to move into motorsport and work for the world famous Cosworth. I loved the hard work and challenges during this time and moved up to become their Senior NDT Inspector holding Level II certification in both PCN and NAS410 BSEN 1479 in MPI and Dye Penetrant methods on all race engine components, both in-service and new build.Maybe it was natural progression, or perhaps a greater willingness to learn that eventually lead to my involvement over the last 11 years with Johnson and Allen, Fidgeon, Fujifilm and my new position at Magnaflux as their Regional Sales Manager
