Wayne Aaron most recently was Senior Vice President – Properties & Facilities in the Corporate Real Estate department for Delta Air Lines where he was responsible for managing Delta’s airport and facility assets including long-term airport planning and development, design and construction, lease agreements and other airport affairs.Prior to that role, Wayne was the Senior Vice President of Alliances and Partner Development where he was responsible for leading Delta’s alliance strategy including its joint venture with Virgin Atlantic, its equity investments with Aeromexico, Gol and China Eastern and its SkyTeam and other airline partnerships. Previously, Wayne served as Vice President – Marketing Programs and Distribution Strategy where he lead the product marketing functions including onboard products and customer experience, the airport experience, Delta’s Sky Club airport lounges and consumer research in addition to leading the strategy and implementation of major distribution initiatives. Wayne also held the position of Vice President – Corporate Strategy and Business Development where he helped develop the new business plan during the company’s Chapter 11 reorganization. After emergence from bankruptcy, Wayne was responsible for all merger-related analysis leading up to the Delta-Northwest merger and oversaw the successful implementation of all major integration milestones. Additionally, he also served as Vice President – Delta Connection overseeing the portfolio of nine regional business operations as well as Delta Private Jets, the airline’s private aviation charter business. Wayne began his career at Delta in 1991 in Network Planning where he worked on various strategic initiatives and business plans for new market entry.
