A senior role leading the International Marketing and Recruitment team who are responsible for coordinating the promotion of the University overseas and international student recruitment. ♣ Staff management and leadership of a high performing team consisting of three regional marketing managers and a marketing assistant. My role includes full HR responsibility, performance management, and recruitment and retention strategy. ♣ Provide strong leadership to staff through coaching, collaboration and openness to new approaches whilst imparting valuable industry knowledge. ♣ Strategic planning and business development; proactively identifying and maximising opportunities and new markets for international recruitment as well as adapting the approach in existing markets to counter a changeable environment. ♣ Proactive engagement with industry professionals to create strategic partnerships in a highly competitive market. ♣ Highly developed relationships with overseas government ministries, education agents, and academic and professional staff from the University of Otago and other New Zealand Universities. ♣ Management of the production and distribution of International marketing publications and materials (digital, print and web).♣ Responsible for writing marketing content, presenting sales pitches, PR activities, writing and presenting reports and chairing meetings.♣ An effective financial manager achieving consistently accurate budget outcomes in a two million dollar Activity Centre budget. ♣ Responsible for international student enquiries and liaison with outsourcing organisation.
