I have 10 years of molecular, cellular and developmental biology lab experience starting as an undergraduate student in 2001 and continuing into my current PhD training. I am interested in novel pharmaceuticals development, positron emission tomography for diagnostic imaging and biotech business development.Specialties: DNA cloning, genomic PCR, reverse transcription PCR to generate cDNA, quantitiative real-time PCR, western blots, immunoprecipitation, lipid and electroporation transfection of plasmid DNA, generation of retroviral and lentiviral transduction vectors, fluorescent microscopy, and multi-color flow cytometry (10 color acquisitions), cell cycle analysis, proliferation analysis, cytometric bead assays, positron emission tomography image analysis, kinase uptake and kinase activity assays.

Our studies focused on the expression of cancer-specific proteins in multiple myeloma and how the immune system could be primed to recognize these proteins in order to eliminate the malignant cells from the body. My contributions to the project were included in a publication in the journal Cancer Immunity in 2010.Other duties included the following: personally training 4 rotational graduate students and 2 post-doctoral fellows to conduct the experimental procedures that we commonly used in the lab; managing daily lab operations such as procurement of materials, laboratory upkeep and bookkeeping; and supporting the establishment of Dr. Cho's new laboratory at the NYU in July 2006.
