As a dynamic leader with more than 30 years of experience, I have dedicated my career to transforming youth sports and recreation. My journey has been defined by visionary leadership, strategic innovation, and an unwavering commitment to safe, inclusive, and impactful sports programs that empower young athletes.I serve as Executive Director, National Council of Youth Sports (NCYS), I provide strategic direction to organizations that collectively serve over 60M youth registered in sports. My work centers around driving measurable impact through the creation of services and partnerships, advocating for policies that prioritize youth safety and well-being, and ensuring alignment with governance principles that enhance transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct. At NCYS, we are at the forefront of advancing youth sports safety through a comprehensive Culture of Safety strategy. This initiative focuses on reducing injuries, implementing data-driven injury prevention programs, and fostering a safer environment for young athletes. Key projects like Youth Sports RIO enable us to gather critical data on injury patterns allowing us to tailor our safety protocols and advocate for equitable access to protective measures. Our strategic partnerships with organizations further strengthen our efforts to enhance training for coaches and adopt evidence-based safety standards nationwide.Previously, at Boys & Girls Clubs of America, I spearheaded an $80M national health and wellness portfolio, growing program participation to over 14.5 million connections—an achievement recognized by the Harvard Family Research Project. My leadership transformed Triple Play into one of the most impactful youth health programs in the country, with comprehensive evaluations validating its success.Throughout my career, I’ve been a principal thought leader, driving change and innovation in every role I’ve undertaken. From managing multi-million-dollar budgets to leading national initiatives, I have consistently delivered results that enhance organizational effectiveness, empower communities, and improve youth outcomes. My expertise spans strategic planning, partnership stewardship, and program evaluation, with a focus on creating long-term sustainable impact.Looking ahead, my mission remains clear: advancing the well-being of young athletes by fostering safe, supportive environments. I am passionate about using sports as a vehicle for positive change, promoting health equity, and building resilient communities.Let’s connect if you’re interested in innovative partnerships.
