My main job at the Y is in Resource and Information (R&I). I try to provide information on our programs whether Government funded or services we provide at our site. I am actively involved in workshop presentation focusing on Mock Interviews for clients. A lot of people have a hard time with interviews or the interview process. But I also support the Job Coach staff as I am able. Booking appointments and some times I provide a listening ear when needed.

My duties include but are not limited to looking after the main floor where clients come in to use computers and other resources for job search. I am available for what ever the client needs while in our office for their job search needs. I do the office supply inventory tracking and ordering. I assist the job coach's in what ever they need. I also have the logins and passwords for different data bases to up load workshop calendar information or to approve employer job adds listed on our YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka online job board. I basically wear a few different hats in my role here, I co-ordinate office space for outside service providers that book space here for training, job interviews and various workshops. I also look after any I.T. issues as we have over 20 staff and client computers on-site. I don't fix problems but I am the liaison between our office and our I.T. department. There are other things as well but these are the main parts of my job on a day to day basis.
