  As Manager of the Workplace Safety and Health Department in the Human Resource and Workplace Safety & Health Division, Wayne oversees a group of safety professionals that represent Manitoba Hydro in all safety issues pertaining to the employee's physical work environment. The Workplace Safety Department provides guidance to Line Management, the Workplace Safety and Health Committees and Field Safety Officers by developing and maintaining corporate policies and procedures designed to reduce employee exposure to physical hazards. Wayne is also responsible for the Health and Disability Management department who are dedicated to supporting all Manitoba Hydro employees in living a healthy and productive life, and to assist those who experience work-related and non work-related illnesses and injuries to stay at or return to work. This support includes working with supervisors and managers to meet their obligation to accommodate disabilities in the workplace.
