I have grown up with electronic security all around me & several members of the family are in the business so it stands to reason that I have electronic security in my blood.I originally started working in the industry straight from secondary education (CPVE business studies) as a trainee installation engineer with Modern Alarms based out of City Road London EC1 many moons ago! The company later evolved into Modern Security Systems & I finally left my position as Senior Service Engineer @ the Hemel HQ when ADT bought the company 11 years later.I then joined Secom Plc as a Service Engineer but quickly progressed to Service Supervisor.I was responsible for our Witham office for many years & with the team we built a training/demo room we were proud of.I looked after our cherry picker Safety & Certification based there & a small store with Engineer stock in/out as well as repairs in/out.l was responsible for two teams of Service Engineers providing 24hr breakdown cover & routine service visits across Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk & Cambridge.The Aeromark system was brought in & the Witham office was sadly no longer needed at which point I transferred to the Hainault office. In 2016 I was nominated as a “Top Gun” & was honoured to be one of a small group representing the UK part of the business on a study tour to Secom Japan.This was such an amazing trip & came on my 20th year with Secom Plc.Fantastic memories!In 2021 I reached the milestone of 25 years working at Secom Plc which I am proud of.After working all the way through Covid as a key worker my role has now changed to include looking after Service Teams across Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk & Cambridge & including Service Engineers around outer London as far round as Oxford & Reading & I am now mainly field based Supervisor.I Personally attend sites where customers are unhappy & take pleasure in winning them over & resolving problems for them & I am often used to assist VIP customers as well as many celebrities.
