I’m enthusiastic about technology, learning, leadership, and storytelling, all of which are constants in everything I do. I’m excited about innovative technology, not just when it makes every-day tasks easier, but when it opens up new possibilities and you begin operating in a way you had never dreamed before, and start achieving results at a higher level. Leading others through the change that comes with technology fascinates me. I find it fun. I’m passionate about discussing the vision of where technology can take us, and moving through the story of where we are today, to where we will be tomorrow. I love creating an engaging environment. As a Channel Solutions Manager at State Farm, my team and I have the responsibility of ensuring that our insurance agents are prepared for new technology, and changes in how we do things. As a leader, I spend my days:• coaching an amazingly talented team of virtual project managers who focus on the change management process and guiding our agents through an agile world • helping people develop and grow• strategizing with our company leaders to develop the best technology to assist our agents in putting the needs of the customer first I have always been and will always be a student and a teacher. Throughout my career, I’ve facilitated, both in person and virtually. I’ve created curriculum and led professional courses in Microsoft Office products, MBTI, leadership development, coaching, and customer service. When I'm not immersed in new technology, I'm happiest telling or listening to great stories. I’m an avid reader and writer. I’m interested in using art as a way to tell a story, drawing or painting. I’m a fan of comic books and everything Disney and Star Wars. You can often find me at one of the beautiful parks in Virginia, a book in my hand.
