Knowledge gained from both the Distribution and Integrator sides of the business offers me a unique perspective to effectively negotiate vendor terms beneficial to both parties opening the door to greater growth potential and lasting business relationships.As a successful Corporate Buyer/Product Specialist at Avnet, I was initially responsible for purchasing component-level products, moving on to computer, networking, storage hardware, and associated peripherals from multiple manufacturers. Strategically negotiating stock packages, stock rotations and Customer specific projects, effectively turning Inventory, coordinating contract negotiations.Eventually moving into an inside sales position, focusing on server/storage . My attention to detail, coupled with a foundation of Honesty, Integrity, Trust and Respect for others allowed me to help our clients and my company grow to new levels. With this mindset, I achieved over a decade of back to back “President’s Club” awards for top performance in sales and profit and Customer Satisfaction.I continued my system sales career at Arrow enabling them to include the Intel based server and associated peripheral products to their existing HP-UX offerings. Again, rewarded with Top sales achievements. In my time at Logicalis, part of my responsibilities included building and fostering business relationships with their "B" Class Vendors. My distribution background gave me insight to leverage very favorable discounts, freight terms, loaner equipment programs, sequestered inventory packages and return policies further enhancing our ability to outperform competitors. Facilitating successful problem resolutions enabled me to increase, maintain and grow strong business relationships.I also implemented, staffed, and managed a Configuration/Quote Center that allowed Account Executives and Solution Architects to focus 100% of their time facing customers while my team and I worked behind the scenes building detailed configurations, based on their input, suitable for a customer presentation, opening the door for a “technology signoff” and order, or revisit for any needed revisions/changes. Our deliverables also included any “Program/Promo or Deal Registration discounts available ensuring outstanding pricing for our customers and maximum profits for Logicalis. Time to retire?
