Wayne is an accomplished international executive with over 25 years leadership experience in the media, entertainment, gaming & creative industries. At NEOM he spearheading the development of the regional epicentre for the media and creative industries as a vibrant and sustainable economic sector supporting the wider ambitions of NEOM. Borg's extensive career is truely global having lived & worked in Australasia, Europe, United States, Asia & Middle East gaining valuable cross border cultural expertise and experience in both mature & emerging markets. He has led key divisions of iconic international media businesses & entertainment companies to commercial success and has also driven major strategic & policy initiatives for government in the media, culture & creative industries. His experience includes M&A activity, cultural policy development, investment /start up incubation and non executive board roles spanning the globe. His achievements include developing sector clusters, establishing special economic zones(focused on media, digital, gaming & entertainment), investing in media and cultural infrastructure and leading businesses to market leadership and developing future leaders. Borg has served as a successful non exec board director of media, production, event, gaming, education/training & entertainment companies. Reflecting and harnessing the breadth of his industry experience. His extensive knowledge of the media sector, content creation and creative industries is complemented by his deep understanding of digital & emerging technologies, convergence, multi-screen environments and their impact on industry & consumers. He is well versed in the commercial and strategic drivers across these sectors.Before joining NEOM, Borg was President & General Manager at Fox Studios in Los Angeles after successfully Leading Fox Studios Australia as CEO/Managing Director. He has served on the Board of Ausfilm (chairing its finance & risk committee), been elected as a Screen Producers Councillor and served on the Australian Government's Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade Council for Australian - Arab Relations . He is a member of the Producers Guild of America; member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and currently serves on the Open University UK Advisory Board and is Board member of MBC Games Studio Earlier in his career, Borg held leadership positions at twofour54/Abu Dhabi Media Zone Authority, Universal Studios, Warner Bros, Walt Disney and PepsiCo. He began his career as marketing trainee with Unilever.
