Emergency Services Officer
CurrentDiamond Protection is responsible for providing a range of emergency response services to the oil and gas, mining/energy, construction, critical infrastructure industries. As a crew member I am expected to continuously meet and exceed client’s KPI’s and enhance the safety of all persons on site. Responsibilities:Responding immediately and safely to emergency calls and requests for assistance.A working knowledge of medical centre clinical practices, on site and in field medical evacuations, helicopter landing and take-off procedures, patient transfers.A working knowledge of gas assets including central processing plants, field compression stations, gas wells, water treatment plants and properties, to enhance the ability to respond to emergency calls with safety and efficiency. Attending emergency situations including fires, road accidents, hazardous materials, confined space rescue, vertical rescue etc...Inspecting and maintaining the fire appliance and its rescue equipment assisting in testing fire hydrants and checking reticulated and static water supplies.Undertaking physical training, fire drills, rescue drills, training on various rescue techniques, use of rescue equipment and related matters.Maintaining a high level of fitness necessary to carry out the duties of a firefighter.Value adding to the client. Extra duties through initiative or as directed that provide additional services and cost savings which can benefit all parties.
